I want to share a repost of an older podcast show called Jákastið where I was interviewed shortly after publishing my first graphic novel.

Creating a comic is an exciting but a demanding adventure. Working on The Hidden People (Huldufólk in Iceland) taught me many lessons about collaboration, time management, artistic growth, and promotion.

15+ years of creating and being an artist isn’t always about “making it.” I’m 35 now, and art still isn’t my full income. I still work while trying to protect time and energy to create. Some seasons I’m consistent, other seasons I’m just surviving life and trying not to lose the part of me that loves making things.
