Bókasafn Hafnarfjarðar — Throughout December
This December, I’m opening my first art exhibition in twelve years at Bókasafn Hafnarfjarðar. The exhibition features artwork from my newest comic project, Huldufólk, written by Gunnar Birgisson and illustrated by me.
About Me and My Work
I’m a comic creator, artist, and illustrator, and over the years I’ve carved out a place within Icelandic comics culture with works such as Gen-01 and Landverðirnir. These projects have gained positive attention, leading to interviews, signing events, and media coverage.
The comic Landverðirnir, which I created together with Úlfar Svansson and Dagur Lárusson, received particular recognition for its charitable effort, the team donated most of the proceeds to the Children’s Hospital, visiting young patients with gifts and Icelandic superheroes to brighten their day.
About The Art Show
The exhibition presents artwork from Huldufólk, a story set in Iceland in the year 2061, where climate change has reshaped the country and criminal gangs hold power.
At the center of the story is Ragnar, a young technician who is unexpectedly drawn into a life or death conflict and slowly realizes just how much is at stake.
Visitors will be able to explore original ink drawings and full colour pieces, all displayed in A3 size silk paper. Together, the works offer a vivid glimpse into a near-future Iceland, where science fiction, Icelandic spirit, and expressive visual storytelling meet.

When and Where
The exhibition runs throughout December at Bókasafn Hafnarfjarðar.
Everyone is warmly welcome to visit, explore the world ofHuldufólk, and take a closer look at the creative process behind the comic.
